Hallelujah (Chicago Musicians Care) – A Gift to Sandy Hook

Posted by on November 19, 2013

The one-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings is only weeks away.  Many look for ways to offer their prayers and memorial gestures to those who lost their lives and to their families. I was blessed to have Kevin Tenbrunsel, the co-founder of the Chicago Musicians Care organization, reach out to share with me their contribution to the people of Sandy Hook.

The Chicago Musicians Care, featuring the Chicago Children’s Choir, created the following video and the song rendition of “Hallelujah” with the proceeds going towards the Sandy Hook Workers Assistance Fund (United Way). The video is embedded below and the song may be purchased on iTunes via the Hallelujah (Chicago Musicians Care) – A Gift to Sandy Hook site.

I encourage everyone to pause, reflect, watch the video and purchase the iTunes song for a contribution to help Sandy Hook workers who still suffer today. I did. And it helped bring a moment of peace to a tragic situation that will forever be with me as a father and as a school safety professional.

God Bless the lost souls, their families, the Chicago Musicians Care and the Chicago Children’s Choir.
