FOR BUSINESSES INTERESTED IN "CORPORATE WELLNESS"
AND "COMMUNITY OUTREACH" PROGRAMS
School safety and related youth violence concerns impact all segments of
our communities, including the business community. Corporate leaders
have a vested interested in the safety of our school and our children from
several perspectives including:
1. The negative impact of unsafe schools and youth violence on educational growth and, in turn, on the ability to sustain an educated, qualified workforce and candidate pool.
2. The negative impact of unsafe schools and youth violence on the current workforce including the influences these factors have on employee absenteeism and tardiness due to school and court meetings related to violence, medical plan costs due to injuries and related medical treatments associated to violence, employee stress from worrying about their child's safety and their possible involvement in youth violence (including reduced sleep and alertness, increased alcohol or drug problems, etc.), and other productivity and wellness considerations.
3. The negative impact of youth violence on the workplace environment including increased potential for vandalism, thefts, robberies, car-jacking and auto theft, and other crimes potentially perpetrated by youthful offenders in or around business establishments.
These are a few of the "hidden costs" that many Americans, including many corporate leaders, have not considered when looking at their corporate wellness and corporate outreach programs.
National School Safety and Security Services has given this a great deal of thought in the 25+ years in the field of school safety and youth violence. We see the importance of the roles the corporate community can play in supporting its employees and its schools in their efforts to prevent and manage youth and school violence. To help the business community address these issues in a meaningful way, we offer consultation services including:
- Keynote and Workshop Presentations for Corporate Leaders and Their Employees
- Sponsored Education Programs for Schools and Professional Organizations
- Educational Product Development
- Corporate-Specific Consultation and Advisory Services
